Ramadan has officially begun with many Islamic micronations celebrating

Ramadan, the month of fasting and prayer for Muslims, has once again arrived, beginning on the evening of March 26 and continuing until the evening of April 24. The Islamic calendar is based on the lunar cycle, and Ramadan is the ninth month of this calendar.

Fasting is one of the five pillars of Islam and during Ramadan, Muslims are obligated to fast from dawn until sunset. This means refraining from food, drink, and other physical needs during the daylight hours. Fasting is not only about abstaining from food, it is also about controlling one’s desires, thoughts and behavior. It is seen as a way to purify the soul, practice self-discipline and empathy for the less fortunate, and strengthen one's faith in God.

Muslims around the world are celebrating Ramadan, and the micronational world is no exception. The Islamic Republic of Buryali started the celebrations of Ramadan with numerous citizens cheering in the official discord server. Likewise in Qardasha, citizens started praising Allah in the official Qardashian communications server. An official government statement was released by the Sultan of Qardasha stating "I have one of the best announcements that I could ever announce: the crescent of the holy month of Ramadan has been sighted in the mainland, The month of Ramadan has begun!". Furthermore, Qardasha has announced that it will have daily reminders and will be reciting the Quran in public on weekends.

Unlike last year, numerous new Islamic micronations have sprouted up making this year a little more special. With these new micronations, many have come to wonder if the micronational celebrations of Ramadan will be bigger this year. Only time will tell.
